Activities for Children

Tahiti Trail - in the footsteps of Georg Forster – the new jungle play land for children up to 1.40 m in height

Originally, the Hanseatic League was most active in the Baltic Sea area however the trade relations of the alliance of cities went well beyond that.

The Steelyard in London, established in the early 13th century already, was one of the most important trading posts of the Hanseatic League because the rise of the British Empire - the largest empire the world had ever known - was based to a great extent on England’s maritime power.

New continents were discovered, new nations were founded and along with that, new trading opportunities developed all of which pushed the Hanseatic alliance of cities more and more into the background.

Georg Forster, a German, accompanied James Cook on his second voyage around the world, sailing the South Pacific to the Easter Islands and Polynesia. Georg Forster’s explorations in the jungle of the South Seas significantly contributed to the development of geography and ethnology as separate sciences.

This is where the new Children’s Jungle Park - a play land that will be open to our young visitors from 2012 - starts off. The park is a great place for children to climb, romp around and play to their hearts’ content even in less than agreeable weather.

Gold Prospecting

Head to the Wild West town of Bonanza City: back then, when the town was teeming with life, most of the Wild West's cowboys earned their living trading cattle. However some of them were always on the lookout for the precious and very rare metal: gold. Do some gold washing and see if you'll find the coveted treasure. At EUR 2.50 you will, for sure, wash enough gold to earn yourself an original Bonanza City gold coin with cord, which you can take home.

Slides

Ride the tube slides down at crushing speed and feel the wind blowing in your hair, plunge deep down inside our lighthouse and race through the dark climbing and explorer tower right into the world of the Wild West.

Ball and Bounce House

Great fun for the littlies! Dive into a sea of colourful balls or jump around in the bounce house -no matter the weather.

Children's Face Painting

Get a different face at our make-up point! From EUR 2.90 our little and older guests can transform into a hissing tiger, a dangerous buccaneer or a magical fairy.

Bouncy Hills / Kiddie Camp

Do your wild somersaults on the bouncy hills or enjoy yourselves thoroughly in any weather conditions at the roofed Kiddie Camp.

Climbing and Exploring Fun

Go on a discovery tour and explore, on your own or with a climbing companion, the secrets of the adventure ships. Discover the hidden treasures but watch out: you never know where and when the pirates will be on the prowl.

You just have to be a minimum of 110cm [43in] tall to look at the world from atop. Discover the Navajo-Trail together with an adult: hook up and show your skills. But be careful because most of the time you'll find yourself right above water. Are you daring enough to master this par course?

From 2009 onwards, children aged 3 years and over can explore our  low-rope garden At just a few centimetres or inches above the ground, this highlight offers loads of fun-filled activities which are especially geared towards the tiny ones from 3 years of age. As the low-rope garden is fully roofed, our little guests will be comfortable in any weather conditions!
