Social Commitment at HANSA-PARK

Double-digit millions donated for specific projects

HANSA-PARK‘s social commitment is reflected in the double-digit millions the Park has contributed to specific projects. Here are some of the projects the Park has supported.

Social Weeks

Since 1990 HANSA-PARK has granted between 19,000 and 25,000 people in special circumstances free admission to HANSA-PARK under the Social Weeks programme. The groups that are ultimately permitted to visit the Park are solely chosen by social umbrella organisations.

Landesfeuerwehrverband Schleswig-Holstein e.V. [State Fire Brigade Association]

The “Youth Fire Brigade Action Day” - a joint project undertaken by HANSA-PARK and Landesfeuerwehrverband Schleswig-Holstein - took place for the first time in 2005. The aim of the association is to give the youth fire brigade members a memorable day and make the voluntary work more attractive. “We hold the Action Day to honour and support the fire brigade volunteers. Their work is special and important,” Andreas Leicht, Managing Director of HANSA-PARK, says.

ZiSch - A Newspaper at School in co-operation with s:hz and LN

Apart from funding projects, HANSA-PARK also makes time to host school classes and accompany them through the Park. Managing Director Christoph Andreas Leicht explains, “When we talk about Zisch, we always talk about education, too. The newspaper is an important educational tool because reading means learning. That’s our message to young people and that’s why HANSA-PARK is on board!”
