Admission Fees and Discounts
Answer
No, there aren't. We at HANSA-PARK instead opted for a discount pricing system that is fair to and takes account of the needs of all guests. The pricing system is designed to allow for affordable day and season tickets, low parking fees and customer-friendly prices at our eateries and souvenir shops.
Answer
No, you can't. The "traditional" family as we know it has often been replaced by what is known as patchwork families or single moms /dads with child. The results of a representative survey among our guests conducted a few years ago prompted us to extend the child discount from formerly "up to 12 years" to "up to 14 years" now.
Answer
If you hold a thank-you ticket, you will only pay € 19.- on the day you visit the Park for a second time in the season. To be entitled to the reduced admission fee on your second visit you have to exchange the admission ticket you bought on the day you visited the Park for the first time for a thank-you voucher at our Service & Information Centre.
Answer
You can buy season tickets at the Service & Information Centre by the main entrance, at designated sales points or via our internet portal. Holders of season tickets have unlimited entry to HANSA-PARK over the whole season. The validity of the season tickets ends on the last day of the Park’s season regardless of the purchase date.
In addition you will enjoy discounts with many of our ccollaboration partners. Click here for more information.
Answer
Actually we would have to charge much higher admission fees to cover additional events or for visits in the main season. However, we have decided to charge the same all-inclusive entrance fee throughout the season. If you visit us in the pre- and/or post-season, you will still be able to enjoy the entire range of the Park’s offers. On top of that, queues at all attractions will be much shorter saving you a lot of waiting time.
Antwort
Yes, you do - until 4.00 p.m. when our box offices close. You will recoup the ticket price quickly: just a few rides on our most popular attractions will cost you less than the equal number of single rides at a fun fair. Our box offices close at 4.00 p.m. because our Park has got so much to offer that you will not be able to make full use of everything when you enter the Park later. We do however offer you the option to exchange your day ticket for a thank-you ticket at our information desk. You can use the thank-you ticket to enjoy a full day in the Park at a discounted admission fee.
Answer
It may indeed happen that the operation of individual attractions has to be interrupted despite precautionary maintenance measures because of necessary technical inspections. As safety is of the highest priority, this can never be fully excluded. In such cases of force majeure we hope you will understand and accept that we cannot refund your admission fee. These attractions will be open again later in the day. A notice at the box office will inform you about which attractions are not in service before you enter the Park.
Answer
Unfortunately not. Our entrance fees are all inclusive, which means visitors can use all Park attractions free of charge. Each guest can choose his or her own favourites from over 125 attractions. At certain times in the spring and autumn, we invite groups of socially disadvantaged or disabled fellow citizens to visit HANSA-PARK. Which groups will be invited is decided exclusively by umbrella organisations for social services that are in a better position to assess individual needs.
Answer
The discounted fee applies to all children and youths up to and including 14 years of age. From the age of 15 youths are allowed to use all ride attractions on their own, which is why they have to pay the full admission fee. For reasons of equal treatment this age restriction also applies to holiday pass holders and birthday children.
Answer
HANSA-PARK’s concept is based on the principle ‘children come first’. As a park known to be particularly child-friendly we want to make sure that our little guests who celebrate their birthday at the Park are paid special attention. The complimentary admission is HANSA-PARK’s exclusive present to them. We hope you will understand that our birthday present is available to birthday children only.
Answer
Unfortunately we are not able to offer special prices to guests who do not want to or cannot use all our ride attractions. The more than 125 attractions in the Park, the use of which is included in the admission fee, offer something for everyone. We stage numerous live shows for instance at the Aqarena or the international variety show at North Germany’s largest show theatre or the "Fairground Booth Magic" at our open-air stage.
Countless exhibitions, such as a display of sea shells or maritime exhibits invite our guests to pay a visit. Or take a stroll through our themed gardens. In particular, we would like to mention our quieter attractions, such as the Holstein Tower or the Park Train. At the entrance you will be given our complimentary Park map which lists all attractions in detail and mentions all show times.
Answer
The HANSA-PARK admission fee is an all-inclusive price, i.e. all attractions and shows are free of charge. We hope you will understand and accept that you can only use or visit HANSA-PARK’s attractions and shows if you hold a valid entrance ticket.
Answer
It is quite often impossible to guess the age of a child. Some children are taller than others their age; some look more mature, etc. This is especially so for children aged 13 to 15. We hope you understand that for reasons of equal treatment our employees may at times ask you to present an identity card or other documents. Please bring along some kind of proof, such as e.g. a birth certificate or a children's identity card / passport and submit it upon request.
Answer
In the 2018 summer season HANSA-PARK offers travel consultants (only travel agency staff) as well as travel consultant trainees and operators of travel agencies a special entrance fee of € 19 per person. To enjoy the special price, you must present a fully completed travel consultant form together with an up-to-date business card or a letter with the company head issued by your travel agency, bearing the signature of the managing director, and a valid personal identity card. Persons accompanying you pay the regular entrance fee. Please go to our main administrative office located to the left of the main entrance on the day of your visit.
You can download the travel consultant form here.
Answer
A day ticket entitles you to enter HANSA-PARK on the day of your visit once only as our staff can only scan the tickets once. However you may, of course, leave the Park in between for a short time. Before you exit the Park, please approach our staff at the exit by the Holstentor. They will put a stamp on your hand that is valid for the day of your visit.
Just present the stamp to our staff when you return and you will be allowed to re-enter HANSA-PARK.

Service in the Park
Answer
During the main season we recommend visiting HANSA-PARK on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays as these are usually the days when waiting times are shorter. In the pre- and post-season we recommend visiting the park on any working day from Monday to Friday.
Answer
HANSA-PARKs regular daily opening hours are from 9.00 a.m. to 6 p.m.¹
It’s our guests who ultimately decide how long the Park will be open. HANSA-PARK’s employees know that they are required to work in accordance with the needs of our guests. Our current opening times have been set based on representative surveys of our guests.
In addition, we offer flexible opening times, in particular during the peak holiday season, so that if the Park has a lot of visitors, we can extend the Park’s opening hours.
Answer
Basically it is at the parents’ discretion to allow their children to visit HANSA-PARK on their own. However we hope you will understand and accept that we cannot be expected to supervise your children. Please also note that on some rides special age or height restrictions apply.
Children under 8 years of age are only permitted to enter the Park if they are accompanied by an adult.
Answer
We are happy to provide our guests with toddler strollers free of charge. However due to space restrictions we can only store a limited number of pushchairs. On very busy days there may therefore not be enough strollers available for everyone.
Tip: Pop in again at the stroller stations located at the main entrance during the day. You may be lucky and some guests have already returned their pushchairs.
Due to our space restrictions, we can unfortunately not offer our guests any wooden handcarts for hire.
On the ground floor of our Service Centre you will find multiple-use lockers in two sizes. Regular-sized lockers are available at a one-time fee of € 1, large lockers at € 2 plus a deposit fee of € 2.

We hope you will understand and accept that only on-ride photos purchased on the same day of your visit at our sales booths will be stored in our system for one week and can be sent as e-card.

Ride Attractions / Shows
Answer
Children can ride and use almost any attraction at HANSA-PARK. If you go to our sitemap, you will find a detailed list of all attractions.
Answer
HANSA-PARK offers many attractions catering especially to our little guests and families with children. Suitable for children from two years onward are, e.g. the Safari Jeeps, Dr. Livingstone’s Safari Flight, the Kiddie Camp, La Torre Rapida and Indian River. In addition, lots of exciting playgrounds invite the little ones to play and have a great time.
Furthermore, we offer numerous lovingly designed shows designed to appeal to tiny tots such as, e.g. the Open-Air Stage with "Fairground Booth Magic".
As long as you adhere to the safety instructions of TÜV, the German technical testing and certification body, you can enjoy nearly all attractions together with your children. We’ll leave it to you to decide if you dare sit on individual rides like the Wild Water Ride.
Many ride attractions are designed to entertain the whole family. Among them are, for example, the Holstein Tower, the Park Train, the Wave Rider, the Cog Ship Ride, the Racing Roland and the Flying Swing Ride.

Antwort
The use of our ride attractions by adults is not generally subject to any height and size restrictions. However, for safety reasons we are not permitted to admit persons who due to their physique do not fit in the seats as required or who cannot be supported safely by the safety lap bar.
We strictly comply with these regulations, which have been imposed by TÜV and recommended by the manufacturer, to ensure the safety of our guests. However, as each person has a unique physique and physical make-up, our trained staff will decide on a case-to-case basis if it is safe for a person to sit on a ride, and we recommend you talk to our staff at the respective ride attraction before you board. We are certain the Park offers many attractions that you will enjoy.
If you cannot use individual attractions, we hope to have your understanding that we will not refund the entrance fee in full or in part.

Any of the following documents will be accepted as proof: a copy of the birth certificate or valid children's passport, your health insurance card showing the name and birth date of your child, or similar.

Answer
Based on our past experiences and because you need to present proof we recommend you purchase tickets for disabled guests from our box offices. The sales staff there will routinely ask you to present the relevant proof before you can buy the discounted ticket. We can assure you that when you come to our box office, the guests behind you will keep an appropriate distance to allow for privacy.
If we offered tickets for disabled guests on the internet, the staff at our main entrance would need to ask you to present proof if you showed them a discounted online ticket. We consider that inappropriate as all other guests are able to enter the Park straight away with their tickets. And last, some guests may feel embarrassed when asked to present their disabled pass as our main entrance area does not allow for privacy.
Answer
However you may purchase the discounted entrance tickets at one of our 15 box offices on the day of your visit. Special group box offices located to the right of the main entrance, where you can also buy entrance tickets for disabled guests, ensure that you will not have to wait very long.

Basically it is possible to send the entrance tickets by post.
