Where do I get my parking ticket and how much is it?

Answer

To the side of the car park and on the area in front of HANSA-PARK there are a total of three car park ticket machines. You may either purchase your parking ticket upon arrival or before you leave.

An all-day ticket is only € 4.

If you have any questions, please refer to the attendant who will be available for assistance on the car park from 10 a.m. onwards.

Can I also come by mobile home?

Answer

Yes, you can. A total of 200 parking spaces are available for caravans at HANSA-PARK. Please approach our attendant on the car park for mobile home parking tickets. At just € 6 you can park your mobile home for up to 24 hours on a specially marked parking area.

Is it possible to stay overnight at HANSA-PARK or can I book accommodation close to the Park?

Answer

At HANSA-PARK RESORT BY THE SEA newly built in 2007, 104 lovingly designed holiday chalets are waiting for you. Furthermore there are many accommodations available close by.

Admission Fees and Discounts

Kogge und Welle
Are there any discount or voucher promotions?

Answer

No, there aren't. We at HANSA-PARK instead opted for a discount pricing system that is fair to and takes account of the needs of all guests. The pricing system is designed to allow for affordable day and season tickets, low parking fees and customer-friendly prices at our eateries and souvenir shops.

Can I also buy family tickets?

Answer

No, you can't. The "traditional" family as we know it has often been replaced by what is known as patchwork families or single moms /dads with child. The results of a representative survey among our guests conducted a few years ago prompted us to extend the child discount from formerly "up to 12 years" to "up to 14 years" now.

Where can I get the "thank-you ticket" and how do I get it?

Answer

If you hold a thank-you ticket, you will only pay € 19.- on the day you visit the Park for a second time in the season. To be entitled to the reduced admission fee on your second visit you have to exchange the admission ticket you bought on the day you visited the Park for the first time for a thank-you voucher at our Service & Information Centre.

Where do I get a season ticket and which services are included?

Answer

You can buy season tickets at the Service & Information Centre by the main entrance, at designated sales points or via our internet portal. Holders of season tickets have unlimited entry to HANSA-PARK over the whole season. The validity of the season tickets ends on the last day of the Park’s season regardless of the purchase date.

In addition you will enjoy discounts with many of our ccollaboration partners. Click here for more information.

Do I have to pay the same admission fee in the off-peak season as I do in the peak season?

Answer

Actually we would have to charge much higher admission fees to cover additional events or for visits in the main season. However, we have decided to charge the same all-inclusive entrance fee throughout the season. If you visit us in the pre- and/or post-season, you will still be able to enjoy the entire range of the Park’s offers. On top of that, queues at all attractions will be much shorter saving you a lot of waiting time.

Do I have to pay the full admission fee if I visit the park after 3 p.m.?

Antwort

Yes, you do - until 4.00 p.m. when our box offices close. You will recoup the ticket price quickly: just a few rides on our most popular attractions will cost you less than the equal number of single rides at a fun fair. Our box offices close at 4.00 p.m. because our Park has got so much to offer that you will not be able to make full use of everything when you enter the Park later. We do however offer you the option to exchange your day ticket for a thank-you ticket at our information desk. You can use the thank-you ticket to enjoy a full day in the Park at a discounted admission fee.

Will there be any refunds if shows or ride attractions are cancelled/do not operate?

Answer

It may indeed happen that the operation of individual attractions has to be interrupted despite precautionary maintenance measures because of necessary technical inspections. As safety is of the highest priority, this can never be fully excluded. In such cases of force majeure we hope you will understand and accept that we cannot refund your admission fee. These attractions will be open again later in the day. A notice at the box office will inform you about which attractions are not in service before you enter the Park.

Is there a discount for pupils, students or unemployed persons?

Answer

Unfortunately not. Our entrance fees are all inclusive, which means visitors can use all Park attractions free of charge. Each guest can choose his or her own favourites from over 125 attractions. At certain times in the spring and autumn, we invite groups of socially disadvantaged or disabled fellow citizens to visit HANSA-PARK. Which groups will be invited is decided exclusively by umbrella organisations for social services that are in a better position to assess individual needs.

Up to which age can I take part in the holiday pass special promotion?

Answer

The discounted fee applies to all children and youths up to and including 14 years of age. From the age of 15 youths are allowed to use all ride attractions on their own, which is why they have to pay the full admission fee. For reasons of equal treatment this age restriction also applies to holiday pass holders and birthday children.

Do adults also enjoy free admission on their birthday as children do?

Answer

HANSA-PARK’s concept is based on the principle ‘children come first’. As a park known to be particularly child-friendly we want to make sure that our little guests who celebrate their birthday at the Park are paid special attention. The complimentary admission is HANSA-PARK’s exclusive present to them. We hope you will understand that our birthday present is available to birthday children only.

Is there a discount in admission fees for expectant mothers?

Answer

Unfortunately we are not able to offer special prices to guests who do not want to or cannot use all our ride attractions. The more than 125 attractions in the Park, the use of which is included in the admission fee, offer something for everyone. We stage numerous live shows for instance at the Aqarena or the international variety show at North Germany’s largest show theatre or the "Fairground Booth Magic" at our open-air stage.

Countless exhibitions, such as a display of sea shells or maritime exhibits invite our guests to pay a visit. Or take a stroll through our themed gardens. In particular, we would like to mention our quieter attractions, such as the Holstein Tower or the Park Train. At the entrance you will be given our complimentary Park map which lists all attractions in detail and mentions all show times.

Are there any specific attractions, promotions or shows I am allowed to use/watch even if I do not buy a day ticket for the whole Park?

Answer

The HANSA-PARK admission fee is an all-inclusive price, i.e. all attractions and shows are free of charge. We hope you will understand and accept that you can only use or visit HANSA-PARK’s attractions and shows if you hold a valid entrance ticket.

Do I need to present proof for children below 4 years of age and/or for children from 4 to 14 years of age?

Answer

It is quite often impossible to guess the age of a child. Some children are taller than others their age; some look more mature, etc. This is especially so for children aged 13 to 15. We hope you understand that for reasons of equal treatment our employees may at times ask you to present an identity card or other documents. Please bring along some kind of proof, such as e.g. a birth certificate or a children's identity card / passport and submit it upon request.

Is there a discount for journalists/travel agents?

Answer

Yes, there is. Simply report to our HANSA-PARK administration office located to the left of the Holstentor, and present your valid press card with photograph.

For more information concerning your reporting activities please go to Press.

Am I allowed to leave HANSA-PARK for a short while during my visit?

Answer

A day ticket entitles you to enter HANSA-PARK on the day of your visit once only as our staff can only scan the tickets once. However you may, of course, leave the Park in between for a short time. Before you exit the Park, please approach our staff at the exit by the Holstentor. They will put a stamp on your hand that is valid for the day of your visit.

Just present the stamp to our staff when you return and you will be allowed to re-enter HANSA-PARK.

What is a season ticket?

Answer

Is the use of all attractions included in the admission fee?

Answer

The admission fee includes the use of all attractions, visit of all shows and exhibitions at HANSA-PARK, including our high-rope garden, the “Navajo-Trail”, during the Park’s normal opening times.

Service in the Park

Kogge und Welle
When should I come to avoid the queues?

Answer

During the main season we recommend visiting HANSA-PARK on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays as these are usually the days when waiting times are shorter. In the pre- and post-season we recommend visiting the park on any working day from Monday to Friday.

When does the Park close?

Answer

HANSA-PARKs regular daily opening hours are from 9.00 a.m. to 6 p.m.¹

It’s our guests who ultimately decide how long the Park will be open. HANSA-PARK’s employees know that they are required to work in accordance with the needs of our guests. Our current opening times have been set based on representative surveys of our guests.

In addition, we offer flexible opening times, in particular during the peak holiday season, so that if the Park has a lot of visitors, we can extend the Park’s opening hours.

Are my children allowed to visit HANSA-PARK on their own?

Answer

Basically it is at the parents’ discretion to allow their children to visit HANSA-PARK on their own. However we hope you will understand and accept that we cannot be expected to supervise your children. Please also note that on some rides special age or height restrictions apply.

Children under 8 years of age are only permitted to enter the Park if they are accompanied by an adult.

Can I hire a pushchair for my child? Can I hire a wooden handcart? Are there lockers in the Park?

Answer

We are happy to provide our guests with toddler strollers free of charge. However due to space restrictions we can only store a limited number of pushchairs. On very busy days there may therefore not be enough strollers available for everyone.

Tip: Pop in again at the stroller stations located at the main entrance during the day. You may be lucky and some guests have already returned their pushchairs.

Due to our space restrictions, we can unfortunately not offer our guests any wooden handcarts for hire.

On the ground floor of our Service Centre you will find multiple-use lockers in two sizes. Regular-sized lockers are available at a one-time fee of € 1, large lockers at € 2 plus a deposit fee of € 2.

Can I bring my dog to HANSA-PARK? Can I take my dog along to the shows and on the ride attractions?

Answer

Your dog is, of course, welcome in the Park. However please keep it on a lead and carry a cleaning set along. You can obtain the cost-free set at the box offices and entrance control.

“Water refuelling stations” for dogs can be found throughout the Park.

Please note that, for safety reasons, dogs are prohibited in our shows and on our ride attractions. We hope you will understand and accept that dogs are not allowed in our souvenir shops and in restaurant areas where food is presented uncovered, e.g. in the buffet area.

Who should I turn to when I lose an item of property?

Antwort

HANSA-PARK’s Lost & Found office is located in the Service Centre. If the item of property you are looking for is not there, please report the loss. If you realise the loss only after you have left HANSA-PARK, please feel free to call us at any time.

We will hold unclaimed items at the Service Centre for up to one month. Afterwards we will pass them to the lost property office in charge. In addition, you may look for your lost items on the internet at Lost&Found

Is there a first aid station in the Park? Can I get a pill for a headache there?

Answer

Yes, there is a first aid station in the Park. It is located in the Service Centre by the main entrance. In the event of an emergency, please approach one of our staff or go directly to information in the Service Centre.

Unfortunately pain killers, including headache pills, are prescription medicines. We are not permitted to sell or dispense medicines that are not prescribed by a physician. We also hope you will understand and accept that we cannot be held liable for potential allergic reactions.

Is there a cash dispenser (ATM) in the Park?

Answer

Yes, there is. An ATM  provided by Sparkasse Holstein is available in our Service & Information Centre adjacent to the main entrance.

I would like to download the photo from the internet but I have forgotten my image code. What should I do?

Answer

As the code numbers of the on-ride photos are allocated at random to protect our guests’ privacy, we are unfortunately unable to determine afterwards which photo you are referring to.

We hope you will understand and accept that only on-ride photos purchased on the same day of your visit at our sales booths will be stored in our system for one week and can be sent as e-card.

May we therefore ask you that the next time you come to HANSA-PARK you purchase your personal on-ride photo on the day of your visit.

Ride Attractions / Shows

Kogge und Welle
What attractions are suitable and safe for my children?

Answer

Children can ride and use almost any attraction at HANSA-PARK. If you go to our sitemap, you will find a detailed list of all attractions.

Are there any ride attractions for toddlers and young children under 4 years of age, who do not pay entrance fees yet?

Answer

HANSA-PARK offers many attractions catering especially to our little guests and families with children. Suitable for children from two years onward are, e.g. the Safari Jeeps, Dr. Livingstone’s Safari Flight, the Kiddie Camp, La Torre Rapida and Indian River. In addition, lots of exciting playgrounds invite the little ones to play and have a great time.

Furthermore, we offer numerous lovingly designed shows designed to appeal to tiny tots such as, e.g. the Open-Air Stage with "Fairground Booth Magic".

As long as you adhere to the safety instructions of TÜV, the German technical testing and certification body, you can enjoy nearly all attractions together with your children. We’ll leave it to you to decide if you dare sit on individual rides like the Wild Water Ride.

Many ride attractions are designed to entertain the whole family. Among them are, for example, the Holstein Tower, the Park Train, the Wave Rider, the Cog Ship Ride, the Racing Roland and the Flying Swing Ride.

What is there to do if it rains during our visit?

Antwort

There are many exciting and educational indoor and covered entertainment activities at HANSA-PARK. Enjoy the delicious food at our cosy restaurants, watch one of our many indoor shows, e.g. the variety show, visit the 4D cinema, have the sea lions amuse you or try our various covered ride attractions like the Pow Wow, the Holstein Tower or the Space Scooter or visit our interesting exhibitions. Our sitemap will give you a detailed overview.

Can I take my dog along to the shows and on the ride attractions?

Is taking photos or filming during the show performances allowed?

Antwort

You are very welcome to take photos and film before and after the performance. For copyright reasons taking photos and filming during the performances is not permitted.

Will I be allowed to enter the arena or theatre after the performance has started?

Antwort

As our artists endeavour to present you a perfect show, they need to be able to concentrate fully. That is why we ask you to be on time. Allowing you to enter after the show has started would disrupt the minutely planned programme as well as the other guests.

Though I am wheelchair-bound, I am able to sit on a normal seat. Where can I leave my wheelchair during the performance?

Answer

In all our arenas and theatres there are seats reserved for wheelchair users. Just approach one of our staff at the entrance. He or she will point them out to you.

I am taller than 1.95m. What attractions can I use?

Antwort

The use of our ride attractions by adults is not generally subject to any height and size restrictions. However, for safety reasons we are not permitted to admit persons who due to their physique do not fit in the seats as required or who cannot be supported safely by the safety lap bar.

We strictly comply with these regulations, which have been imposed by TÜV and recommended by the manufacturer, to ensure the safety of our guests. However, as each person has a unique physique and physical make-up, our trained staff will decide on a case-to-case basis if it is safe for a person to sit on a ride, and we recommend you talk to our staff at the respective ride attraction before you board. We are certain the Park offers many attractions that you will enjoy.

If you cannot use individual attractions, we hope to have your understanding that we will not refund the entrance fee in full or in part.

The parade takes approximately 30 minutes.

A park employee will help all birthday children get out of the carriage at the Plaza del Mar where their parents can collect them.

We need you to present proper proof of age for birthday children up to and including 14 years of age. Is it safe to buy HANSA-PARK tickets online?

Answer

The shop payment page that captures your bank details and/or credit card details is provided by B+S Card Service. B+S belongs to Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe that draws on over 20 years of experience in processing cashless payments. The service provider has always adhered to extremely high security standards. In April 2009 it was fully certified to PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), a standard that sets forth a range of binding requirements to protect the personal information of card holders. To be certified companies that store, transmit or process credit card transactions must comply with the standard.

Providing maximum security is of utmost priority to us and our service provider.

  • Payment by credit card: HANSA-PARK has decided to use the "Verified by Visa" (VbV) and "MasterCard SecureCode" (MSC) security services to protect your transactions. The programmes use an additional identification process to confirm the authenticity of card holders and protects against unauthorized use of your credit card when shopping online.
  • Payment by GiroPay: Payment by GiroPay - When you enter your IBAN on our shop payment page, you will be redirected to the homepage of your bank via a secure online connection. After you have entered your login name and PIN, the system will display a pre-completed online payment form that cannot be changed. You complete the payment process by entering a valid TAN. GiroPay is the only online payment method authorised by banks and saving banks.
Who can I turn to if I encounter problems or have questions with regard to the online order?

Answer

If you have questions or encounter problems regarding our online ticketing system, call us on +49 (0) 4563 / 4740 or use the contact form on our website to contact us. If you are already at HANSA-PARK, you can approach our staff at any time. They will be pleased to assist you.

Can I purchase online tickets for guests with (severely) restricted mobility?

Answer

Based on our past experiences and because you need to present proof we recommend you purchase tickets for disabled guests from our box offices. The sales staff there will routinely ask you to present the relevant proof before you can buy the discounted ticket. We can assure you that when you come to our box office, the guests behind you will keep an appropriate distance to allow for privacy.

If we offered tickets for disabled guests on the internet, the staff at our main entrance would need to ask you to present proof if you showed them a discounted online ticket. We consider that inappropriate as all other guests are able to enter the Park straight away with their tickets. And last, some guests may feel embarrassed when asked to present their disabled pass as our main entrance area does not allow for privacy.

Can you hold tickets that I purchased online for collection at our box offices?

Answer

However you may purchase the discounted entrance tickets at one of our 15 box offices on the day of your visit. Special group box offices located to the right of the main entrance, where you can also buy entrance tickets for disabled guests, ensure that you will not have to wait very long.

¹ Prices are subject to change.

Visiting in a Group

Kogge und Welle
Do I have to pre-register my group?

Answer

In order to speed up processes at the group box office, we advise you to pre-register your group at least 2 working days prior to your planned visit at
HANSA-PARK. If you require assistance in any way, please call us on +49 (0) 4563/474-0 or send us a fax on +49 (0) 4563/474-100. You may also send your enquiry by mail: info@hansapark.de.

What is the minimum number of persons to qualify as a group and do caretakers enjoy free admission?

Answer

Our child and youth group prices apply to groups of a minimum of 10 paying children and youths respectively aged from 4 up to and including 17 years. Admission for 2 caretakers is free if they accompany groups of at least 10 paying children and youths respectively. For groups of more than 10 children/youths, admission is free for 1 caretaker per every 10 paying children and youths respectively.

The price for mixed groups applies to groups of 20 paying persons or more. The mixed-group fees do not include free admission for accompanying caretakers.

Where do I collect the entrance tickets?

Answer

Please go to our group box offices (numbers 1 to 3) on the day of your visit to collect your group entrance tickets. The group box offices are located to the right of the Holstentor.

Is it possible for individuals to pay the entrance tickets separately?

Answer

We hope you will understand and accept that the group leader must pay the combined total of all entrance tickets required when purchasing the group tickets. If the individual amounts have been collected from your group members in advance, you will be handed your tickets faster and can enjoy the Park longer.

Can you send me the entrance tickets by mail?

Answer

Basically it is possible to send the entrance tickets by post. However we advise you against it as our experience shows that the number of persons joining in the end is final only on the day of your visit and it would be more complicated to process your entrance tickets if some have already been paid for and others not than purchasing the tickets on the spot.

Can I pay the entrance tickets upon receipt of an invoice?

Answer

Of course it is possible to send you an invoice and you transfer the amount payable upon receipt of the invoice. Should you prefer this kind of payment arrangement, please contact HANSA-PARK prior to your visit to specify the details. In this context we also offer you to have the ticket price debited to your account. For more information on other offers please go to  Group Tours.

Do you offer special group programmes?

Answer

We would be pleased to compile your individual group programme, in particular for child and youth groups. Among others, we offer a Hansa par course for different learning levels and a backstage tour allowing you a glimpse behind the scenes of HANSA-PARK. In addition HANSA-PARK has a wide range of gastronomic offers in store. How about a joint breakfast with your group, a sumptuous lunch or coffee and cake as much as you can eat?

Can we store our backpacks somewhere during our visit?

Answer

On the ground floor of our Service Centre you will find multiple-use lockers in two sizes. Regular-sized lockers are available at a one-time fee of € 1, large lockers at € 2 plus a deposit fee of € 2. Please note that HANSA-PARK and its employees cannot be held responsible for objects passed to them or left unattended within the area of HANSA-PARK.

Can we rent group rooms at HANSA-PARK?

Answer

HANSA-PARK offers various seminar rooms which can be booked in advance by groups. However group room reservations will only be taken upon request and they are not included in the entrance price.

How about enjoying an earthy outdoor experience? Just book one of our trapper lodges adjacent to the Wild West town of Bonanza City. One lodge accommodates groups of 20 persons who will have plenty of space at rustic and cosy tables and benches. Upon registration you will just have to pay a cleaning fee of € 10 per lodge. A charcoal barbecue can be provided at the small cleaning fee of € 10; a barbecue set and tasty treats can be purchased at fair prices. As the lodges are very popular, reservations are a must. The key will be passed to you at the main entrance; a € 10 refundable deposit will be collected.

Can we also purchase online tickets for (student) groups?

Answer

Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment as we require proof upon purchase of the tickets that the tickets are indeed intended for a group. At the box office we will write down the name and address of your group to be able to grant you the group discount. Thank you for your understanding.
