The “Cornwall Coaster” in our themed area “Beautiful Britain” - Come and experience the excitement for yourself!
On the 23rd of May 2026, Cornwall Coaster - HANSA-PARK’s “eighth roller coaster”- opened. A total of 7 launches, with forward and backward sections, a track length of approximately 570 m, and a speed of about 50 km/h at heights of up to 18 m ensure thrilling family fun in our themed area “Beautiful Britain”. Like all attractions at HANSA-PARK, Cornwall Coaster is characterized by great attention to detail and delights HANSA-PARK visitors of all ages.
The front car is modeled after a historic steam locomotive and the station captivates visitors with its cottage charm and cheerful colors. A beautiful original score has been composed, which thematically links this new family attraction with the existing compositions for the “Highlander” and “Nessie” within “Beautiful Britain”.
Although the park still needs to complete Roche Rock during the upcoming construction window (the period when construction can take place without guests present), the park is already referring to it as a “Fully Immersive Ride.” This means that park guests can already fully immerse themselves in the experience. The ride is fully integrated into the elaborate theming and is essentially set in its own unique environment. It features a musical score and transports guests into the world of Cornwall - from the waiting area through the ride itself all the way to the exit.
What were the initial reactions?
They confirmed what we had hoped for. The ride was a hit and the theming made a big impression. The best compliment we received: Guests wanted to get back on and ride it again.
Why choose Gerstlauer again?
Because Gerstlauer is the right manufacturer for this type of roller coaster and the result confirms that. The layout is very well done, the design is superbly executed and the ride is perfectly tuned. No jerking, no uncomfortable movements, and even the backward sections are very smooth. Overall, it’s a completely seamless experience.
How much did the project cost?
We’d rather not say, because it sounds like an unreasonably large amount. Nevertheless, it’s the right approach and adds to the park’s existing premium quality.
What does Cornwall actually have to do with the Hanseatic League?
Back in the day, Cornwall - along with Devon - was the Hanseatic League’s most important supplier of tin. The tin was primarily shipped through the port of Lübeck, first to the trading posts and then to the market.
Curious? Then head on over to HANSA-PARK!
